meekaansIndia ElevenLabs के लिए क्यों जरूरी हो गया है?
AI voice technology company ElevenLabs ने India में अपने expansion को बड़ा करने का फैसला किया है। Company के co-founder और CEO Mati Staniszewski ने 6 October 2026 को बताया कि ElevenLabs India में सैकड़ों मिलियन डॉलर निवेश करेगी।
यह रकम छोटी-बड़ी investments का सामान्य estimate नहीं है। Company ने exact figure बताने से इनकार किया है। इसलिए अभी यह कहना सही नहीं होगा कि ElevenLabs India में कितने करोड़ रुपये लगाएगी।
6 October के exchange rate को करीब ₹96.4 प्रति डॉलर मानें तो $100 million लगभग ₹964 करोड़ बैठता है। लेकिन ElevenLabs ने investment को $100 million या किसी दूसरी fixed रकम के रूप में announce नहीं किया है। इसलिए article में exact INR figure देना सही नहीं होगा।
पैसा कहां लगाया जाएगा?
Reuters के मुताबिक, proposed investment से India में local teams को expand किया जाएगा। इसके अलावा AI models develop करने और Indian languages की capabilities बढ़ाने पर भी खर्च किया जाएगा।
Company India में potential acquisitions की possibilities भी देख रही है। हालांकि अभी किसी specific company का नाम या acquisition deal announce नहीं हुई है।
यह expansion सिर्फ sales team बढ़ाने तक सीमित नहीं है। ElevenLabs India में engineering, research और customer-facing technical teams को भी मजबूत कर रही है।
इससे company को Indian businesses के लिए voice AI systems को local requirements के हिसाब से develop और deploy करने में मदद मिल सकती है।
India ElevenLabs का दूसरा सबसे बड़ा market
ElevenLabs के लिए India अब एक बड़ा commercial market बन चुका है।
Company के मुताबिक, India उसका US के बाद दूसरा सबसे बड़ा market है और यहां वह 250 से ज्यादा businesses और enterprises के साथ काम कर रही है।
Indian businesses ने पिछले एक साल में ElevenAgents पर 100 million conversations की हैं। Company के मुताबिक इनमें 70% से ज्यादा conversations Hindi, Kannada, Tamil और Telugu में हुईं।
यह आंकड़ा company-reported है। इसे independent industry benchmark नहीं माना जाना चाहिए।
ElevenLabs ने Bengaluru में अपना India Summit भी 6 October को आयोजित किया। Company के मुताबिक हर महीने 25,000 से ज्यादा Indian developers और businesses उसके API के साथ build कर रहे हैं।
अब सिर्फ text-to-speech तक सीमित नहीं है ElevenLabs
ElevenLabs की शुरुआत mainly text को natural-sounding speech में बदलने वाली technology के लिए हुई थी।
अब company का focus AI voice agents पर भी है।
Voice agent सिर्फ किसी text को आवाज में नहीं बोलता। वह user की बात सुन सकता है, context समझ सकता है और predefined business workflow में आगे का action ले सकता है।
उदाहरण के लिए customer support में कोई customer बोले कि उसे अपने order की जानकारी चाहिए। Voice agent customer की identity verify करके order system से information निकाल सकता है और जवाब दे सकता है।
अगर मामला complicated हो, तो agent conversation को human employee तक transfer कर सकता है।
यही वजह है कि ElevenLabs अब voice को सिर्फ content creation tool के बजाय business interaction technology के रूप में भी position कर रही है।
Indian languages पर इतना focus क्यों?
India में voice AI के लिए language सबसे बड़ी opportunities में से एक है।
कई users English की तुलना में अपनी regional language में phone पर बात करना ज्यादा आसान समझते हैं। इसके अलावा India में एक ही conversation के दौरान English और regional language को mix करना भी आम है।
ElevenLabs अपनी India strategy में इसी multilingual और code-switching environment पर focus कर रही है।
Company की current India materials के मुताबिक उसका platform 12 Indian languages और accents के लिए voice capabilities offer करता है, जबकि 6 October की India Summit coverage में latest Eleven v4 के लिए 14 Indian languages support और आगे सभी 22 officially recognised Indian languages तक पहुंचने की योजना बताई गई है।
यहां एक फर्क समझना जरूरी है। 14 languages का current support और 22 languages का target एक ही बात नहीं है। बाकी languages के लिए expansion अभी future plan है।
Karnataka government के साथ भी partnership
India expansion का एक दूसरा हिस्सा public services है।
6 October को Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society यानी KITS और ElevenLabs के बीच MoU की घोषणा हुई। इसका उद्देश्य public benefit के लिए Voice AI के इस्तेमाल को explore करना है।
इस partnership में Voice AI safety framework, voice restoration और government services को voice interfaces के जरिए ज्यादा accessible बनाने जैसे areas शामिल हैं।
Voice restoration का इस्तेमाल उन लोगों के लिए भी किया जा सकता है जिन्होंने medical conditions के कारण बोलने की क्षमता खो दी है।
इस initiative में voice cloning, deepfake और voice fraud जैसे risks को ध्यान में रखते हुए safeguards पर भी काम करने की बात कही गई है।
ElevenLabs की हाल की valuation कितनी है?
India investment announcement ऐसे समय आया है जब ElevenLabs की valuation भी तेजी से बढ़ी है।
September 2026 में company ने $300 million का employee tender offer पूरा किया था, जिससे उसकी valuation $22 billion हो गई। Company ने बताया था कि यह February 2026 की $11 billion valuation से दोगुनी है।
ध्यान रहे, यह $300 million India investment नहीं है। यह employee tender offer था। दोनों figures को एक साथ जोड़कर India में $300 million investment समझना गलत होगा।
India के लिए इसका क्या मतलब है?
इस expansion से India में AI voice technology के लिए competition बढ़ सकता है।
Global companies के साथ-साथ Indian companies भी multilingual voice AI पर काम कर रही हैं। Banks, e-commerce companies, telecom businesses, insurance firms और government services में voice agents के इस्तेमाल की गुंजाइश है।
Developers के लिए भी opportunity बढ़ सकती है। अगर voice AI APIs और agent platforms ज्यादा mature होते हैं, तो startups अपने products में multilingual voice interfaces जोड़ सकते हैं।
Creators के लिए dubbing, translation और voice generation जैसे use cases पहले से मौजूद हैं। Enterprise side पर customer support और sales जैसे workflows ज्यादा बड़ा market बन सकते हैं।
सवाल और चिंताएं
Voice AI के साथ privacy और security के सवाल भी आते हैं।
Voice data में किसी व्यक्ति की पहचान से जुड़ी information हो सकती है। AI-generated voice का misuse करके impersonation और fraud भी किया जा सकता है।
इसलिए voice agents को deploy करने वाली companies के लिए consent, authentication, data protection और human escalation जैसे safeguards जरूरी होंगे।
Karnataka और ElevenLabs की announced partnership में voice fraud और unauthorised voice cloning जैसे risks के लिए safety framework पर काम करने की बात भी इसी concern को दिखाती है।
Jobs पर असर भी एक सवाल रहेगा। Voice agents routine customer interactions संभाल सकते हैं, लेकिन इससे यह अपने आप साबित नहीं होता कि पूरा customer-service workforce खत्म हो जाएगा। ज्यादा realistic scenario यह है कि simple requests AI handle करे और complex cases humans के पास जाएं।

Fact Check Note
ElevenLabs ने India में “सैकड़ों मिलियन डॉलर” निवेश की योजना बताई है, लेकिन exact amount अभी घोषित नहीं किया है। 250+ businesses, 100 million conversations और language-related आंकड़े company-reported हैं। इन्हें independent benchmark नहीं माना जाना चाहिए। $300 million tender offer को India investment न समझें, क्योंकि यह अलग transaction था।

ElevenLabs का India investment plan इसलिए ध्यान देने लायक है क्योंकि company यहां सिर्फ customers बढ़ाने नहीं आ रही। Local engineering, research और Indian-language development पर investment का मतलब है कि India उसकी product strategy में ज्यादा बड़ी भूमिका निभा रहा है। लेकिन exact investment amount और future acquisitions अभी confirmed नहीं हैं, इसलिए इन हिस्सों पर अनुमान लगाना जल्दबाजी होगी।
